Mary's Meals at the Međugorje Youth Festival
For many years, Mary’s Meals has been invited to be a part of the programme at Mladifest Youth Festival. On stage each year, we often hear inspirational testimonies from people whose lives have been changed in Medjugorje and who have gone on to become part of the Mary’s Meals movement. In previous years, we have also had the honour of welcoming young musicians who received our daily meals in school to share their talents at the festival.
The Medjugorje Youth Festival was established in 1989, the year believed to be Mary's 2000th birthday.
This youth prayer meeting in Medjugorje has grown over the years, recently gathering over 50,000 youths and 400 priests from around the world. It is a time of prayer, testimonials, candlelit processions, music and dancing. Spirituality is at the heart of this international event bringing together young people from all over the world.
